Adorable set of vintage bookends made by Louis V. Aronson (1869-1940) of Ronson Art Metal Works of New York City in the 1920's. One bookend features a boy kneeling over a book with his elbows on the book and his hands propping up his head. The base measures 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" and he sits 5 3/8" tall. The other bookend features a girl sitting down and reading a book. The base also measures 2 5/8" x 3 3/4" and she sits 4 1/4" tall. Both items have an old gold finish on the children and the book pages. The book covers feature a bronze finish. Both bookends have their original felt on the bottoms. A great set for your favorite book lover!
